NO REFUNDS POLICY:
ALL PAYMENTS ARE FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE. We do not offer refunds, credits, or prorated charges under any circumstances, including but not limited to:
- •Dissatisfaction with the Service
- •Inability to use the Service due to facility restrictions
- •Inmate transfer, release, or loss of access
- •Technical issues or service interruptions
- •Account suspension or termination (including for Terms violations)
- •Changes to pricing or Service features
- •Cancellation of subscription (partial month charges remain)
Why We Don't Offer Refunds
Our Service involves real-time AI processing, third-party telephony costs (Securus), and immediate delivery of communication services. Once you use the Service—whether through text messages or voice calls—we have incurred costs that cannot be recovered.
Additionally, the nature of correctional facility environments means access can be unpredictable due to lockdowns, transfers, facility policies, or technical issues beyond our control. We cannot be responsible for factors outside our Service.
Subscription Billing
Monthly Subscriptions
Subscriptions renew automatically each month on the anniversary of your sign-up date. You are charged for the full month upfront, regardless of usage.
- •If you cancel mid-month, you retain access until the end of your billing period
- •No refunds are provided for unused days in a billing cycle
- •Cancellation only prevents future charges; it does not refund the current period
Failed Payments
If your payment method fails, we will attempt to retry the charge. During this time, the sponsored individual may lose access to the Service. No refunds or credits are provided for service interruptions due to failed payments.
How to Cancel
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting support@beyondbarsai.com. Cancellation is effective at the end of the current billing period.
Important: Canceling does not entitle you to a refund for the current billing period. You will continue to have access until the period ends, but no future charges will occur.
Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of our Terms of Service, including but not limited to:
- •Fraudulent payment information
- •Abuse of the Service
- •Violation of facility rules or policies
- •Chargebacks or payment disputes
No refunds are provided if we terminate your account for Terms violations. You remain responsible for any outstanding charges.
Chargebacks and Disputes
If you dispute a charge with your payment provider (chargeback), your account will be immediately suspended pending resolution.
Chargeback Policy:
- •Filing a chargeback does not entitle you to a refund
- •Successful chargebacks may result in permanent account termination
- •You may be liable for chargeback fees and collections costs
- •Before disputing a charge, contact support@beyondbarsai.com to resolve the issue
Exceptions
The only exceptions to our no-refunds policy are:
- •Billing Errors: If we mistakenly charge you more than the stated subscription price, we will refund the difference
- •Duplicate Charges: If you are accidentally charged twice for the same subscription period, we will refund the duplicate charge
- •Legal Requirements: Where required by law (some jurisdictions may require refunds under specific circumstances)
To request a refund for one of the above exceptions, contact support@beyondbarsai.com with documentation of the error.
Free Trials (If Offered)
If we offer a free trial in the future:
- •You must cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged
- •Once the trial converts to a paid subscription, the no-refunds policy applies immediately
- •We are not responsible for notifying you when your trial ends
